"He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure." Psalm 40:2

Songs stuck in my head

I just about always have a song stuck in my head. Sometimes it’s really obnoxious, sometimes it’s really enjoyable. Here’s what’s floating between my ears today:

How about Barney? Ugh…even my children can’t stand him (Yes!!), but I heard his song on the radio the other day and his ‘I love you’ anthem has been stuck there for days…hopefully this song is a little more bearable.

Yes, the Barney song is terrible! My baby brother used to watch his Barney video over and over ad nauseum. This close to Christmas, Jingle Bells is almost as annoying. Thankfully, the song I posted is a good one 🙂

How about ? Now that song sends shivers down my spine, and sends me running for the exit. And anything Christmas done acapella style. Now that’s a disgrace to what we want to follow at this time of year. Christ is the only reason why we would want to celebrate this time of the year. In spite of the pagan junk, we can take this time of the year and dedicate it to honouring our Lord Jesus for coming to earth as He did and dying for us on that wretched cross.

But to hear the Twelve Days of Christmas acapella style is just wrong on so many levels.

Mercifully, I haven’t every heard an accapella version of 12 Days —
Shamefully, I kind of like Mele Kalikimaka every once in a while. It brings back memories, since we used to live in Hawaii.
