Truth, Proper Focus, & Ordinary Means of Grace
I haven’t watched the embedded video in the post I’ve linked to below (haven’t got 27 min at the present), but I must give the written substance to this post at The Christian Pundit a loud, resounding AMEN! I had to link over real quickly.
The post is a great little summary of the basic truths that have made my husband, myself and our household seem quite strange to many of our friends and loved ones. If you’ve wondered “what our deal is”, then I encourage you to read this.
Toss all the peripheral junk of life and religion out the window! We must simply learn the truth, speak the truth, beg God to help us keep proper focus, and use the ordinary means of grace God’s given us. Trust and obey. It really is that simple. That hits you what ever your calling in life may be. In the homeschool, in the kitchen, in the community, in the church, as a mother, as a wife, as a single woman, as an employee…
I encourage you to click over, read, and prayerfully consider the thoughts and questions presented. Click the words in red, or copy and paste this link: http://thechristianpundit.org/2013/01/03/street-preaching/
(BTW – the post does not just address street preaching/street ministry, — so anti-street-ministry friends of mine please, please don’t let the title deter you from reading. Try and grasp the wider principles there.)
