"He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure." Psalm 40:2

Me time? Meet We time.

I had to share this real quick today:

Amy, who blogs over at Raising Arrows, wrote a little eBook titled “The Me Time Myth” some time ago. This tiny book made a huge impact on me a few years ago, before we’d even considered homeschooling.

At that time, I was on a “career track” and my children were often “in the way,” I’m very sorry to admit. My “Me time” was one of my sacred cows, for sure. The Lord had already begun to convict me of my sin in these areas, and then God used that little booklet as one of the key tools to shift my mindset and my path in ways I could have never imagined. Some of you who’ve known me for a while probably received a link to it via email or Facebook at least once since then – and if you knew me before that time, you know how drastically God has been changing me (isn’t He awesome?!?!?!?!!).

Well, apparently Amy experienced some backlash from her booklet (seems I’m not the only one who worshiped that particular sacred cow), and earlier this week she posted a response.

So there’s your context – now here’s what I really wanted to share:

Today Raising Arrows published this sweet guest post about “We Time“.

Mommas (& wives) – whether you homeschool or not, this (and the Me Time Myth!) is a worthwhile read. These are definitely truths that we must consider, as we seek to please the Lord in our lives each day. I strongly recommend you hop over and take a look when you get the chance. 🙂
